Engine Compartment Temperature Switch

Switch is located on firewall to left of battery. Switch provides underhood temperature information to control unit. When underhood temperature is low, switch is closed. When underhood temperature increases to greater than 44-67°F (7-20°C), switch opens, indicating a warmed up condition to control unit. Control unit will richen air/fuel mixture when engine compartment temperature is low.
