Vacuum Motor

  1. Remove vacuum hose from vacuum motor on air cleaner snorkel. Apply vacuum to control diaphragm. Air delivery door should move to the hot air delivery mode. Diaphragm should hold vacuum. Release vacuum. Remove fresh air duct from end of air cleaner snorkel. With engine off, air delivery door should be in the fresh air mode.
  2. With engine cool, start engine. Air delivery door should rise to block off fresh air. As engine warms, delivery door should gradually drop and deliver fresh air to air cleaner.
