Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Test
Remove fuel gauge sending unit from vehicle. Connect an ohmmeter between sending unit connector terminals. With float in full (up) position, resistance should be 1-5 ohms. With float in empty (down) position, resistance should be 103-117 ohms. With float in 1/2 (middle) position, resistance should be 28.5-36.5 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace sending unit. See Fig 1 .
