Coolant Temperature Gauge Test

Disconnect Yellow/White wire connector at temperature sending unit. Connect a 12-volt 3.4-watt bulb to harness side of connector, between power terminal and ground. Turn ignition on. Ensure test light flashes and temperature gauge needle deflects. If not, replace temperature gauge. See Figure .
