Fast Idle Cam

  1. Fast idle check and adjustment should be performed with engine at room temperature. Check that mark on cam is aligned with cam follower center. See Figure .
  2. Connect vacuum pump to idle-up actuator and apply 16-18 in. Hg. Check clearance between actuator rod and idle-up adjusting screw. See Figure . Clearance should be .10-.12" (2.5-3.0 mm).
