1. Connect ohmmeter to switch as shown in Fig. 9. Resistance between terminals at this time should read zero.
2. Open throttle valve fully. Ohmmeter should read infinity. If not, replace wide open microswitch.

3. Open throttle valve gradually until ohmmeter reads infinity. Then using a suitable vernier caliper, measure clearance between throttle valve and carburetor bore as shown, Fig. 7.

4. Clearance should be 0.24--0.28 inch (6.0--7.2mm). If clearance is not as specified, make adjustment by bending lever, Fig. 10.
