Idle-Up Rpm
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Check that idle speed is set to specification. Ensure that idle-up actuator rod moves down when taillights are turned on (indicating that idle-up mechanism is working).
- With headlights on, check idle-up RPM. Ensur that heater fan, rear window defogger, and air conditioner are all off. If idle-up RPM is incorrect, adjust by turning idle-up adjusting screw. See Fig 1 .
