Idle Speed

  1. Place transmission in Neutral. Set parking brake, and block drive wheels. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Check idle speed. If not within specification, turn idle speed adjusting screw. See Fig 1 .
  2. If idle speed cannot be adjusted to specification, this can be due to faulty return of throttle valve. Determine cause, and repair. Adjust idle to specification.
