CONDITION

Modification of transfer gear shift locating parts.

CAUSE

Factory Modification.

CORRECTION

When rebuilding the transfer case, use the updated parts as listed in this bulletin.

This bulletin is to inform you of the modification of the gear shift locating parts which has been carried out since August 1992 production. When replacing any of the indicated parts, use the updated parts as listed in this bulletin.

MODIFICATIONS

Refer to Fig 1 and Fig 2 .

1. Transfer case:
   • Depth of locating hole modified
2. Front drive shift shaft:
   • Locating ball groove reshaped
3. Gear shift locating inner spring:
   • New Addition to transfer case.
   • Fits inside existing spring.
