SERVICE INFORMATION

The batteries in your dealer stock must be maintained on a periodic basis. Weekly/daily starting of the engine will help maintain engine lubrication, but will gradually discharge the battery. If a vehicle is in your stock for over two (2) months or is being delivered to a new retail customer, it should have a fully charged battery.

If you suspect a battery problem or have a dead battery, use the inspection/servicing procedure shown in the flow chart in Fig 1 .

WARNING: If while charging, the battery feels hot, 125°F (52°C) or higher, or if violent gassing/spewing of electrolyte through the vent hole occurs, discontinue charging or reduce the charging rate.
