CONDITION

Muffler/Catalytic converter rattle/vibration noise.

CAUSE

Debris (rocks, gravel etc.) caught between heat shield or loose fasteners (nuts/bolts).

CORRECTION

Remove debris and tighten all fasteners to specified torque.

NOTE: Numerous exhaust components are being replaced due to debris or loose fasteners. Care in inspection/diagnosis must be taken to prevent denial or debiting of claims submitted under warranty.
