Removal & Installation (Samurai)

  1. Remove clutch release bearing. Remove release lever. Remove return spring from clutch release shaft. Check shaft for wear or damage.
  2. Position Clutch Release Bushing Remover (09925-48210) against No. 2 bushing and lightly tap out bushing and cap. Repeat procedure and remove No. 1 bushing with seal. See Figure .
  3. Install release shaft. Apply grease to release fork contact surfaces. Apply grease to both ends of clutch cable. To complete installation, reverse removal procedures. Clutch release arm bolt and nut should be tightened to 89-142 INCH lbs. (10-16 N.m).
