Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki XL7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
    NOTE: In the following service procedure, it is not necessary to remove the rear suspension support. Lower the support enough to remove the stabilizer bar.
  2. Lower the rear suspension support. Refer to SUPPORT REPLACEMENT (AWD VEHICLES)  and SUPPORT REPLACEMENT (FWD VEHICLES) .
  3. Remove the spare tire from the vehicle.

    NOTE: Hold the ball shaft secure with a TORX® bit, when removing the nut.
  4. Remove the stabilizer link to stabilizer shaft nut.

  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft clamp bolts.
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft clamps and bushings from the stabilizer shaft.
  7. Disengage the stabilizer shaft from the stabilizer link ball studs, while removing the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
