Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR DISABLING AND ENABLING .
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to REMOVAL PROCEDURE .
- Repair as much of the damage as possible to factory specifications. Refer to DIMENSIONS - BODY .
- Note the location and remove the sealers and anti-corrosion materials from the repair area, as necessary. Refer to ANTI-CORROSION TREATMENT AND REPAIR

NOTE: Do not damage any inner panels or reinforcements.
- Locate and drill out all factory welds on the number 4 bar and the floor reinforcement. Note the number and location of the welds for installation.
- Remove the number 4 bar and the floor reinforcement.
- Locate and drill out all factory welds on the outer rail reinforcement. Note the number and location of the welds for installation.
- Remove the rail reinforcements from the vehicle.
- Locate and drill out all factory welds on the rear rail. Note the number and location of the welds for installation.
- Remove the damaged rear rail from the vehicle.
