Remove the 2 third gear band apply retainer bolts/screws (50).
Remove the third gear band apply tube retainer (51).

NOTE:
- Do not bend or damage the apply tube or the O-ring.
- Do not damage the transmission case sealing surface.
Using J 28585, remove the third gear band apply tube (52) and O-ring (53).
