Starter - Direct Drive: Overhaul: Inspection: Pinion
- Inspect pinion for wear or damage. Ensure that clutch locks-up when turned in the direction of drive and rotates easily and smoothly in the reverse direction. Replace as necessary.
- Check teeth for wear or damage. Check pinion for smooth movement. Replace as necessary.
