Removal & Installation: Valves
- Standard valve head margin is .039" (1.0 mm). Margin limit for intake valve is .023" (.60 mm). Margin limit for exhaust valve is .027" (.70 mm).
- Valve stem deflection can be measured with a dial indicator. See Fig 1
. Intake valve stem deflection limit is .005" (.14 mm). Exhaust valve stem deflection limit is .007" (.18 mm). When resurfacing valve stem end face, DO NOT
exceed a depth of .0196" (.50 mm). Valve head radial runout limit is .003" (.08 mm).
