Water Pump: Removal

  1. Drain cooling system. Disconnect battery. Remove pump pulley and drive belt. Remove lower radiator hose. Ensure that No. 1 piston is at TDC of compression stroke.
  2. Remove crankshaft pulley and timing belt cover. Loosen timing belt tensioner bolt and stud nut. Remove timing belt, camshaft sprocket and timing belt tensioner. Remove pump.
