1. Remove distributor cap and rotor.
2. Using feeler gauge, measure air gap between signal rotor tooth and generator, Fig. 4. Air gap should be .008-.015 inch (.2-.4 mm).
3. If gap is incorrect, remove igniter and loosen 2 screws holding generator.
4. Using screwdriver, move generator to adjust gap to specification, Fig. 5.
5. Tighten 2 screws and recheck air gap.
6. Install igniter, rotor, and distributor cap.
