Section 2 (Engine Starting System & Charging System (2.0L)): Generator: Removal

1. Remove the collector cover. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (W/O STI)>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
3. Remove the brake vacuum pump. Refer to BRAKE>BRAKE VACUUM PUMP>REMOVAL .
4. Remove the V-belts. Refer to MECHANICAL(W/O STI)>V-BELT>REMOVAL>V-BELT .
5. Remove the collector cover bracket.

6. Disconnect the connector (A) and terminal (B) from the generator.

7. Remove the generator from the generator bracket.

8. Remove the V-belt tensioner assembly. Refer to MECHANICAL(W/O STI)>V-BELT>REMOVAL>V-BELT TENSIONER ASSY .
9. Remove the generator bracket from the engine.
