DTC C1412: Selected Parameter

DTC detecting condition:

A fault is detected if abnormal set value is found on the vehicle model that were given some parameters.

Trouble symptom:

ABS does not operate.
VDC does not operate.
AVH does not function.
EyeSight does not operate.

NOTE: When the VDCCM and H/U is replaced, this DTC may be stored.

CHECK VDCCM AND H/U IDENTIFICATION SYMBOL .
Check the identification symbol attached on the H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>SPECIFICATION .

Is the identification symbol correct?

Yes: Go to 2 .

No: Replace the VDCCM and H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM and H/U) .
CHECK PARAMETER SELECTED IN VDCCM .
Check the VDCCM parameters, Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM and H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDCCM PARAMETER CHECK .

Does the parameter registered in the VDCCM match the relevant vehicle?

Yes: Go to 3 .

No: Select and register the correct parameter. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM and H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDCCM PARAMETER SELECTION .
CHECK SPECIFICATIONS OF OTHER CONTROL MODULES .
Check the specifications of ECM and TCM.

Are the specifications of ECM and TCM the same as vehicle specification?

Yes: Replace the VDCCM and H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM and H/U) .

No: Replace the ECM and TCM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) . Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DOTC)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) . Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) . Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR690)>TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) .
