Power Door Lock

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Subaru Forester. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Upon exiting, do not leave ignition key inside vehicle when using the power door lock switches to lock doors.

The power door lock system consists of a keyless entry control module or door lock timer; driver's and front passenger's door lock switches; front and rear door lock actuators; and a rear gate lock actuator. See Fig 1 & Fig 2 . When the driver, or front passenger, locks or unlocks his door using the door lock switch, all other doors and the rear gate automatically lock or unlock. To lock the doors, push the switch forward. To unlock the doors, pull the switch backward. After door locks are set to lock position, they remain locked when the door is closed.
