Combination Switch/CLOCKSPRING: Installation

Ensure front wheels are positioned in straight ahead position. Install combination switch on steering column. Center clockspring. See CENTERING CLOCKSPRING  under ADJUSTMENTS. When installing steering wheel, ensure that clockspring connector pins align with holes on steering wheel. See Figure. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate the air bag system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Verify system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
