Test 1: Checking Clearance Light Circuit
- Remove and check fuse No. 7 (20-amp) in main fuse block. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, replace fuse and go to next step.
- Remove and check fuse No. 5 (10-amp) in main fuse block. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, replace fuse and go to next step.
- Remove and check each clearance light bulb. If bulbs are okay, go to next step. If any bulb is blown, replace bulb and go to next step.
- Disconnect 4-pin fuse block connector F68. Using voltmeter measure voltage between ground and fuse block connector terminal No. 4. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair wiring between fuse block and battery.
- Disconnect security control module connector located under front console box. Measure voltage between ground and control module connector terminal No. 11. See Figure . See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair wiring between fuse block and security control module.
- Disconnect 12-pin connector B158 from main fuse block. Measure resistance between security control module terminal No. 12 and fuse block connector terminal No. 11. See Figure and Fig 1 . See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between main fuse block and security control module.
- Reconnect main fuse block connector. Backprobe and measure resistance between fuse block connector B158 terminal No. 11 and fuse block 7-pin connector F41, terminal No. 1. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair or replace fuse block.
- Measure resistance between fuse block connector B158 terminals No. 11 and 10. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair or replace fuse block.
- Disconnect fuse block 7-pin connector F41. Disconnect right front clearance light 3-pin connector. Measure resistance between fuse block connector terminal No. 1 and clearance light connector terminal No. 1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and fuse block.
- Disconnect left front clearance light 3-pin connector. Measure resistance between fuse block connector terminal No. 1 and clearance light connector terminal No. 1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and fuse block.
- Measure resistance between right front clearance light connector terminal No. 2 (center terminal) and ground. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and chassis ground.
- Measure resistance between left front clearance light connector terminal No. 2 (center terminal) and ground. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and chassis ground.
- Disconnect right rear clearance light 6-pin connector. Measure resistance between fuse block connector terminal No. 10 and clearance light connector terminal No. 1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and fuse block.
- Disconnect left rear clearance light 6-pin connector. Measure resistance between fuse block connector terminal No. 10 and clearance light connector terminal No. 1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and fuse block.
- Measure resistance between right rear clearance light connector terminal No. 4 and ground. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and chassis ground.
- Measure resistance between left rear clearance light connector terminal No. 4 and ground. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between clearance light and chassis ground.
