Removal & Installation

  1. Turn ignition off. Set front wheels in straight-ahead position. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Disconnect negative battery terminal. Wait 20 seconds before starting work.
  2. Remove air bag module from steering wheel. Disconnect air bag harness connector. Remove horn switch from steering wheel. Disconnect horn switch and cruise control command switch harness connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure.
