Main Switch Test
- Turn ignition on. Check voltage between fuse No. 4 and ground. Voltage should be 10-13 volts.
- Remove cruise control main switch and disconnect connector. With ignition on, measured voltage between harness connector terminal No. 3 and ground should be 10-13 volts. See Fig 1 .
- To check function of main switch, measure resistance between terminals No. 3 and 5. Resistance should be less than 10 ohms with switch on and greater than one megohm with switch off. See Fig 2 .
- To check harness between main switch and control module, reconnect harness connector. Turn ignition and main switches on. Measure voltage by backprobing between specified terminals and ground:
- Terminals No. 3 and 5 of connector i10.
- Terminal No. 4 of connector B54.
Voltages should be 10-13 volts. See Fig 3 .
