July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Charcoal Canister

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose from canister purge vent port (main purge vent on turbo). See Fig 1. Blow air into canister purge vent port. Airflow will be blocked if valve is operating properly.
  2. Disconnect hoses from fuel tank and carburetor ports on canister. Blow air into each port. Air should flow into canister.
  3. On turbo models, remove secondary purge hose. Blow into hose. Air should flow with a slight resistance.
