July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

EGR Valve

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose at EGR valve. Connect a vacuum pump to EGR valve. Start and warm engine to operating temperature. Apply vacuum and ensure engine stalls.
  2. Connect a vacuum gauge to EGR hose. Pinch vacuum hose No. 8 (between clean air intake and EGR control solenoid). Start engine. EGR vacuum hose should have vacuum with engine running. Release vacuum hose No. 8. No vacuum should be present at EGR vacuum hose.
