Throttle Body: Removal

DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 nuts and engine cover.

REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE
1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
2. Separate the wire harness.

3. Separate the No. 1 vacuum switching valve.

4. Disconnect the ventilation hose.
5. Separate the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.

6. Loosen the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, unlock the air cleaner assembly clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with No. 1 air cleaner hose.
7. Remove the air cleaner filter element.

REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.

2. Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose.

3. Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose.

4. Disconnect the connector.

5. Disconnect the throttle hose.

6. Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the fuel pipe support and throttle body assembly.

7. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
