On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT TURN SIGNAL FLASHER ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the turn signal flasher assy and inspect the connector on the wire harness side as shown in the table below.

      Standard: 

      WIRE HARNESS STANDARD

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      1 - Ground Ignition switch ON Battery voltage
      1 - Ground Ignition switch OFF No voltage
      4 - Ground Always Battery voltage
      7 - Ground Always Continuity
    2. Connect the connector to the turn signal flasher assy and inspect the wire harness side connector from the back as shown in the table below.

      Standard: 

      CONNECTOR STANDARD

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      2 - Ground Hazard switch OFF --> ON 0 V --> 0 <=> 9 V (60 to 120 times per minute)
      2 - Ground Turn signal switch (right turn) OFF --> ON 0 V --> 0 <=> 9 V (60 to 120 times per minute)
      3 - Ground Hazard switch OFF --> ON 0 V --> 0 <=> 9 V (60 to 120 times per minute)
      3 - Ground Turn signal switch (left turn) OFF --> ON 0 V --> 0 <=> 9 V (60 to 120 times per minute)
      5 - Ground Turn signal switch (left turn) OFF --> ON Above 9 V --> 0 V
      6 - Ground Turn signal switch (right turn) OFF --> ON Above 9 V --> 0 V
      8 - Ground Hazard switch OFF --> ON Above 9 V --> 0 V
  2. ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK 

    HINT:

    The light that comes on upon entry is the room lamp assy No.1.

    1. Turn the ignition switch off, close all the doors, and lock the driver's door.
    2. Unlock the driver's door, open one of the doors, and check that the room lamp assy No.1 comes on. Then, close the door and check that the room lamp assy No.1 goes off after approximately 15 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and open and close one of the doors. Check that the room I lamp assy No.1 goes off immediately.
    4. Turn the ignition switch off.
    5. Open and close one of the doors to turn on the room lamp assy No.1. Before the room lamp assy No.1 goes off, after approximately 15 seconds, turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and check that the room lamp assy No.1 goes off immediately.
    6. Turn the ignition switch off.
    7. Open and close one of the doors to turn on the room lamp assy No.1. Before the room lamp assy No.1 goes off, after approximately 15 seconds, lock the driver's door, and check that the room lamp assy No.1 goes off immediately.
