Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, cruise control switch OFF, disconnect the harness connector X3 at the BCM.
  2. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the cruise control indicator dimming signal circuit terminal 22 and ground.
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test the cruise control indicator dimming signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the steering wheel controls switch - left.
  3. If the circuits test normal, replace the BCM.
