Removal Procedure

Fig 1: Disconnecting/Connecting HO2S Electrical Connector

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
Position the jackstand under the muffler for support.

Remove the exhaust manifold to catalytic converter nuts.

Remove the catalytic converter to muffler nuts.
Disengage the converter from the hanger.
