July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the air inlet tube and air cleaner assembly.

  4. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator hose from the throttle body and fuel rail.

  6. Disconnect the throttle position sensor (TPS) and the idle air control (IAC) electrical connectors.
  7. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connection.
  8. Disconnect the throttle and cruise control cables.
  9. Remove the throttle body mounting bolts and nuts.
  10. Remove the throttle cable bracket.
  11. IMPORTANT: The throttle body-to-manifold gasket is reusable if it is not damaged. Replace if damaged.
  12. Remove the throttle body.
