Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel pump module. Refer to Fuel Pump Module Replacement .
  2. Open the fuel pressure regulator retainers (1).
  3. Slide the fuel pressure regulator out slightly from the module.

  5. Using a small pick, disengage the fuel level sensor electrical connector retainer (1).
  6. Disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector from the module cover.
  7. Remove the fuel pressure regulator wire connector (2) from the fuel pressure regulator.
  8. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.

  10. Push in the fuel level sensor retaining tabs (1) in order to disengage the sensor tabs from the module bucket.

  12. Slide the fuel level sensor up and out from the module bucket.
