Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Saturn Ion Red Line, 2007 Saturn Ion 3, and 2007 Saturn Ion 2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the BPMV assembly bracket to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the brake pressure modulator assembly bracket mounting nut and mounting bolts.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
    • Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Secure the forward lamp wiring harness retainer to the BPMV bracket.

  7. Install the brake modulator assembly to the bracket.
  8. Tighten the 2 brake pressure modulator assembly insulator nuts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  9. Secure the EBCM wiring harness retainer to the BPMV bracket.
