Diagnostic Aids

When attempting to diagnose an intermittent problem, use scan tool to review malfunction history information. This data can be used to duplicate a problem.

DTC can be set by carbon build-up around EGR valve or blocked EGR passage. Remove EGR to clean pintle valve or passages. Replace EGR valve is necessary.
