BTSI Solenoid: Installation

  1. Install solenoid into shifter assembly. See Fig 1 . Connect plastic retainer at solenoid base and at the park lock lever. Connect BTSI solenoid harness connector.
  2. Install console. See FLOOR CONSOLE  . Enable the SIR System. See AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
  3. Verify operation. Turn ignition switch to the ON position. Attempt to move shift lever out of Park position. Lever should be allowed to move out of the Park position.
