Diagnostic Aids

If scan tool is incapable of communicating with ABS module or PCM, check for an open in Data Link Connector (DLC) ground circuit. Check DLC terminal tightness. Check scan tool for damaged connector pins. Verify proper operation of scan tool by testing on a known good vehicle. Check ABS ground and communication from DLC.
