July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel rail with the fuel injectors into the cylinder head evenly.

  2. Hand tighten the 2 outer fuel rail fasteners to seat the fuel injectors into the fuel injector bores.
  3. Refer to FASTENER CAUTION .

    Start and hand tighten the remaining fuel rail fasteners.

  4. Tighten the fuel rail fasteners in sequence to 22 Nm (16 lb ft). 
  5. Tighten the fuel rail fasteners in sequence a second time to 22 Nm (16 lb ft). 
  6. Install the fuel injector noise insulator (1).

  7. Connect the electrical harness to the fuel rail harness connection.
  8. Install and hand-tighten both ends of the NEW high pressure fuel line (1).

  9. Tighten the high pressure fuel line fitting nuts to 30 Nm (22 lb ft). 
  10. Install the intake manifold. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT .
  11. Install engine appearance cover replacement. Refer to ENGINE SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT .
