  3. The key/remote control (C) must be in the 'OFF' position. Hold the accompanying transponder (D) above the hole in the antenna unit. Turn the ignition to the 'ON' position. Hold the transponder in the same position for a couple of seconds.

Once the transponder code has been read by TWICE, the alarm indicator diode will stop its double flashing. If the alarm indicator diode does not stop its double flashing, repeat step  3 and adjust the position of the transponder (D).

NOTE: If the transponder code is not read by TWICE after five attempts:
    • Reset the system by undoing the clamp from the battery's negative terminal.
    • Refit the clamp to the negative terminal.
    • Carry out step  3 and onward in accordance with these instructions.
  4. Keep the transponder held (D) in the position approved in step  3.

NOTE: If the transponder is not accepted then the seat belt warning lamp does not flash (also indicated with the message "Key not approved" in SID), which could be due to the transponder not communicating with the antenna unit.
Start from step  3 and try again. The message "Key not approved" disappears when communication has been re-established.
  10. Follow the instructions in the diagnostic tool, with the following exceptions:

At the first time with step  3 in TECH 2 , refit the antenna unit and re-insert the same key (C).
