Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes - MOTRONIC 4.1L & 5.2L System: Introduction: Notes

NOTE: 900 series 2.3L vehicles are equipped with Motronic 4.1 system. 900 series 2.5L vehicles are equipped with Motronic 5.2L system.

If no faults were found while performing BASIC TESTING , proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present after entering self-diagnostics, proceed to appropriate TESTS W/O CODES article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).
