Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1 Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Important : Do not disconnect the battery cable while the engine is running as this could seriously damage the generator (alternator).

2 Pull out the steering wheel as far as it will go.
3 Remove the steering column bearing bracket cowls (4 screws).
4 Undo the two socket cap screws on the bottom.
5 Withdraw the ignition switch and unplug the connector.
