Fig. 10 Knock Detector Installation.:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and disconnect wiring harness connector at detector.
2. Remove bolt securing detector to engine block below intake manifold and remove detector.
3. To install, clean mating surfaces of block and detector. On 900 models, position detector as shown, Fig. 10, and torque bolt to 15 ft. lbs. On 9000 models, torque bolt to 10.5 ft. lbs.
4. On all models, reconnect wiring harness connector and battery cable.
