Receiver and Dehydrator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Using a 14 mm straight hexagon wrench (1), remove the cap (2) from the modulator (3).




3. Using pliers (1), remove the receiver dehydrator (2) from the modulator (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Using pliers (1), install a new receiver dehydrator (2) to the modulator (3).




2. Install a new O-ring (1) to the receiver dehydrator cap (2) lubricated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Using a 14 mm straight hexagon wrench (1), install the cap (2) to the modulator (3).

Tighten the cap (2) to 2.9 Nm (26 lb in).

4. Install the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement (Service and Repair).
