Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 1.6L.
Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector.
Remove the KS.
