July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal Procedure

  1. Position the window to the full down position.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Paint Damage Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Apply masking tape to the door frame and applique/run channel.
  3. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Driver)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Passenger) .
  4. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement .
  5. Lower the run channel and reposition it in order to access to the applique rivets. Refer to Window Run Channel Replacement - Front Door .
    6. CAUTION: Refer to Eye Protection Caution in Cautions and Notices.

  6. Drill out the 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (2) along the upper inside edge of the window run channel.
  7. Remove the screws (1) from the of the inside of the door window frame.
  8. Remove the applique (3) from the door frame.
