July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (L26) or Drive Belt Replacement (L32) in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

  5. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (L26 and L32) .
  6. Disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Return Hose Replacement .

  8. Disconnect the harness connector (4) from the power steering pump (1).

  10. Remove the power steering mounting bolts from the power steering pump.
  11. Remove the power steering pump from the engine.
  12. Remove the power steering pump pulley from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement (3.8L V-6) .
  13. Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle (CB Series) .
