Removal Procedure

Fig 1: Identifying Air Intake Duct

Drain coolant. Refer toDraining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.
Disconnect the breather tube from the air intake tube.
Remove the air intake tube.

Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.

Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

Remove the accelerator control cable bracket. Refer toAccelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement .

Disconnect the throttle body coolant bypass hoses.
Disconnect the heater pipe nut at the throttle body.
Remove the nuts and bolts holding the throttle body to the intake manifold.
Remove the throttle body assembly.
