Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-2.2L (L61).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the generator.
  4. Remove the generator bolts.

  5. Remove the generator.
