Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the liftgate hinges with the shims and seals to the location marks on vehicle.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the nuts to the liftgate hinges.

    Tighten:  Tighten the liftgate hinge nuts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).

  3. Install the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Replacement (Rendezvous) .
